Before you pay: what an automated check cannot tell you
Automated testing finds roughly 25–33% of the WCAG issues on a page. Everything we report is a real, machine-verifiable failure worth fixing — but a clean result is not conformance and not a clean bill of health. Whether your alt text is accurate, whether the focus order makes sense, whether a screen-reader user can actually finish your checkout: none of that can be measured by a machine, and all of it is required.
This is a technical measurement, not a certification, not a compliance statement, and not legal advice. We do not issue accessibility statements. Full conformance needs a human expert audit, and paying us €29 a month does not replace one — it tells you, every week, whether the machine-checkable part of your site got worse.
What €29 a month gets you

What is not in it yet
Being specific about this because a monitoring product that is vague about its alerts is selling something it does not have:
- The weekly change email is being built. Today the scan runs on schedule and the findings are stored per page; the emailed week-over-week report — new failures, fixed failures, still-failing — is the next piece of work, not something you get on day one.
- No screenshots, no visual diffing, no PDF certificate. We do not issue certificates of any kind, now or later.
- No manual audit. No human looks at your site. If you need the other two-thirds of WCAG covered, you need a human expert, and we would rather tell you that than sell around it.
How signing up works
- You pay through Polar, our merchant of record. No card details ever reach us.
- We email you a one-time link to a short onboarding page.
- On it, you give the site URL and confirm that you own that site or are authorised to run automated tests against it. We store that confirmation — the exact wording, the date, and who agreed.
- The first crawl starts immediately. The next one runs about a week later, and so on until you cancel.
We will not crawl anything until that confirmation exists. A paid subscription with no site attached simply sits idle, which is the correct behaviour and not a bug.
Common questions
Does this make my site compliant with the European Accessibility Act?
No. Nothing automated can do that, and any tool that says otherwise is misleading you. This tells you what the machine-checkable subset of WCAG 2.1 A/AA finds on your pages, every week. It is evidence of effort and a good regression alarm; it is not a conformance assessment.
What if my site has more than 150 pages?
You get the first 150 pages reached from your start URL, plus an honest
count of how many we discovered. You can point the subscription at a
section — https://example.com/shop/ — if that is the part you
care about most.
Do you honour robots.txt?
Partly, and we would rather explain than imply. A rule that names
TirelessLabsScanner is honoured absolutely, including a
blanket disallow — we stop. A rule aimed at * is not treated
as a refusal here, because you have told us in writing that this is your
site and asked us to test it, and most sites' blanket rules are aimed at
search indexers and scrapers. If that is not what you want, name us and we
stop. It is spelled out on the scanner page.
Can I monitor a staging or password-protected site?
Not yet. The scanner does not log in and does not submit forms, so it only sees what an anonymous visitor sees.
How do I cancel?
Through Polar, the same place you paid — or email wcagwatch@mail.tirelesslabs.com and we will do it. Cancelling stops the crawl at the end of the period you have paid for.
